Specializing in surgery for individuals with congenital and acquired malformations, Dr. Genecov is dedicated to his patients—often providing them with lifelong care. He was drawn to his career by his father, who pioneered orthodontic treatment for children with cleft lip and palate.

An internationally recognized expert in craniofacial surgery,                Dr. Genecov is focused on restoring/achieving both function and aesthetics for his patients. He also performs cosmetic procedures, with a concentration on facial surgeries.

After graduating from the Plan II Honors Program at the University of Texas, Dr. Genecov completed his medical training at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. He then fulfilled his residency at West Virginia University, and was board certified in general surgery. At Wake Forest University–Bowman Gray School of Medicine, he completed his plastic surgery residency. Dr. Genecov was then selected for a fellowship at the International Craniofacial Institute (ICI) in Dallas Texas, where he later joined the surgical team, and now serves as ICI President and Director.

As board certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Genecov is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, and numerous other national and international societies where he has also held a variety of leadership positions.

Dr. Genecov has received numerous awards for academic excellence, surgical expertise and philanthropy. Most notably, the Independent Consumer Research Council of America named him one of the country’s top surgeons for the last several years.

Widely published in national and international literature, Dr. Genecov has authored medical book chapters and has published unique scientific research into the use of stem cells in tissue formation and the use of regenerative proteins for tissue growth. He is an adjunct associate professor in the biomedical sciences department of Baylor Dental School–Texas A & M Health Science Center.

A native of Dallas, Dr. Genecov is a tri-athlete who enjoys several sports and activities, and has a wide variety of interests. Dr. Genecov is devoted to his family and friends, and particularly enjoys the time he spends with his wife and their four children.
